Welcoming the Madness

Sometimes, a little madness is a good thing. In my case, madness and my incredibly well thought-out brackets (of course Kansas will win it all!) are bringing back some fun.

Also in my case, I have dragged my coworker (“Colleges are playing football still?”) and our chef (“You want me to make you an Easter cake you can eat and then fill out all those lines?”) into a three-person pool that involves absolutely no money and no real clue about college hoops.

RG Daughter and her puppy, and RG Son and his gal are in town this weekend. A friend from long ago stopped by yesterday for a quick dinner. Life goes on.

Happy Easter. Happy Spring to all.

Happy Spring to you, too. We’re celebrating the first day of Spring by getting up to 6 inches of snow. Yep. That’s right. Snow.

Have a wonderful Easter with your kids!

I filled out my bracket(s) and in a work one that has lunch for the winner riding on it – I went with Kansas. But it was hard to make G-town lose to them. Before today’s action I am 9 for 15 in the first round. I have Kansas facing the UCLA boys, who stomped on Miss. Valley St yesterday. That score was just painful – 70-29. Ouch.

Have fun with the family this weekend. A blessed and joyous Easter to you, Gal.

Come, sit in our sports book and place a few $1 bets, watch it on wide screen and get free drinks all day. Party with the guys. (I don’t, but I can show you where)

I’ve got my Longhorns taking out Kansas in the Finals. Hook ‘Em!

While I’m here, I absolutely love your blog. I only flipped burgers for three years in high school, but still our stories tend to touch a familiar note with me. Your writing is fluid and beautiful, often taking on different perspectives which is great for a change of pace. I’ll stop gushing. Please keep writing. It gets helps me through my first cup of coffee in the morning.

Those are the best and funniest pool. Me being a sports freak, I stopped years ago trying to follow teams and reading stats, now my picks are done in less than 5 minutes. Good luck and GO TEXAS!
